The Restaurant at the Setai Hotel in Miami Beach

Restaurant at the SetaiEven in the midst of the economic crisis, The Setai stands out as a temple of monied chic Asian-inspired calm, and is arguably the finest of all Miami hotels. Chef Jonathan Wright partners with Pastry Chef Noah French and Sommelier Dwayne Savoie to create meals and special events that are truly unique to these shores.

The Restaurant offers family-style service prepared in an open, demonstration kitchen where chefs from across the globe craft dishes from their homelands of China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Wright includes prix fixe menus that allow guests to sample the best of the season and hosts “Bottleshock,” a specialty off-price wine pairing available nightly.

An Asian-inspired jazz brunch Sundays includes unlimited champagne or Bloody Marys. For a more casual experience, The Grill offers a Mediterranean menu of seasonal tapas, pastas and sides to pair with steaks and chops. One of the most popular new promotions, “Four for Forty” is a set menu of 1 small plate, 1 medium plate, 1 large plate and a dessert for just $40 per guest.

The attentive service, cozy wood dining room and culinary pyrotechnics makes date night at The Grill a delicious adventure.  The Bar & Courtyard serve drinks and snacks derived from street foods found in Malaysia, Singapore and India including gourmet riffs on Satay, Dim Sum, crunchy Spring Rolls, and Tandoor meats.

Serving late night on weekends, the bar is a great spot for a romantic nightcap and a light bite as you make your way from the lounge scene to the Collins Park nightclubs. Finally the Pool & Beach Bar is a perfect spot for an al fresco lunch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Whether you’re a registered guest  or a curious visitor, a breezy table on the deck affords you a 5 star view, a delicious Mediterranean meal crafted by Chef Guillaume Robin, and access to the 3 pools and unobstructed ocean views that make the Setai one of the top destinations on South Beach.

Service is limited to daytime hours and includes light bites like ceviches, beef tartare, assorted cured meats  and cheeses plus salads, soups, sandwiches and pizza. Whether you want to experience a full gourmet meal or a casual bite, the Setai offers an elegant atmosphere, attentive service and an international variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes.
