Continuum Miami Beach is one of fewer than 20 residential communities worldwide invited to participate in Forbes Travel Guide’s new hospitality-grade designation. Forbes Travel Guide announced the program July 29.

The South of Fifth condo community earned the inaugural VERIFIED Luxury Residences designation, which assesses communities against independently verified service standards rather than architecture or amenities alone. Continuum said it was one of five Florida properties selected for the inaugural group. Other Florida recipients included ALINA Residences in Boca Raton, Jade Signature in Sunny Isles Beach and Residences by Armani/Casa in Miami, according to a Forbes Travel Guide press release.

The program, developed by Forbes Travel Guide’s consulting division, Atelier CX, launched July 29. Its four-phase methodology includes acceptance based on defined luxury-residential criteria, verification of Residential Service Standards integrated into a building’s service culture, management-team training, and self-attestation and a Luxury Residence Quality Assessment by an expert evaluator.

Continuum managing director Rishi Idnani said the property is proud to be in the inaugural group, adding in a statement reported by Haute Living: “Since 2023, Continuum has aligned with Forbes Travel Guide for a comprehensive luxury service program. Being chosen as one of the first properties in the world to receive this prestigious recognition elevates the Continuum brand even further on the global stage.”

The designation follows the service philosophy the 12-acre oceanfront property has been building since its 2023 partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. Continuum has occupied the southernmost tip of Miami Beach for more than 25 years, with views of the Atlantic, Fisher Island and the Miami skyline.

All properties in the inaugural group are U.S.-based.

Forbes Travel Guide CEO Hermann Elger said in a statement that the program recognizes communities that “have embraced the service philosophy of the world’s finest hotels, creating resident experiences that are thoughtful and consistently exceptional.”

The nearby W South Beach closed for its conversion to a Waldorf Astoria on Aug. 24 and is scheduled to reopen in winter 2027.

Continuum’s announcement said a fifth Florida property was selected, but it did not identify it.
