Five restaurants led by James Beard Award winners and international chefs plan to open across Miami Beach this fall.

José Andrés is bringing Bazaar Meat to the Andaz Miami Beach at 4041 Collins Ave. The theatrical steakhouse, which pairs meats with inventive seafood and cocktails, will occupy the art deco hotel where the José Andrés Group manages all food and beverage, Miami New Times reported. An exact opening date has not been confirmed.

Conveyor-belt sushi and Tokyo-style pizza come to South Beach

On Lincoln Road, a 7,431-square-foot conveyor-belt sushi restaurant called Ukiyo is expected to open in mid-October at 818 Lincoln Road. Noah Hospitality Group, founded by Philippe Kalifa, is behind the project, according to Profile Miami. Executive chef Nono Shigetomi, a 19-year Miami resident, will lead a menu built around premium bluefin tuna and other seafood sourced from Tokyo's Toyosu and Tsukiji markets.

"Our main goal is to cater to our local clientele," Shigetomi told What Now Miami in a Sept. 2 interview. "We want guests to come two, three times a week."

Ukiyo will serve dinner nightly except Mondays, from 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, and until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Royale Pizza Napoletana plans to open in October at 1680 Meridian Ave., the former home of Michael Schwartz's Harry's Pizzeria. Miami New Times described it as Florida's first Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizza restaurant. Tokyo pizzaiolo Bungo Kaneko, known as "Chef Bun," leads the kitchen alongside executive chef Albert Diaz, who previously worked at Zuma London and Zuma Miami. Restaurateur Jess Varughese, the banking entrepreneur behind Wynwood's members-only Haiku, is backing the project. Royale will seat 65 around a communal table and offer takeout and delivery at opening. It will not take reservations.

Martini carts and Italian fare round out lineup

At 150 20th St., James Beard Award-winning Miami native Michelle Bernstein is teaming with cocktail authority Naren Young and partners Dan Binkiewicz and David Martinez for Zebra Club, an intimate restaurant and bar opening beneath the Townhouse Hotel in October. Binkiewicz and Martinez previously helped launch Sweet Liberty and Café La Trova. The space will feature crystal chandeliers, red semicircular banquettes and tuxedo-clad servers wheeling a custom martini cart.

Farther north, Miami-born chef Giorgio Rapicavoli is opening Luca Trattoria at 933 Normandy Drive in Normandy Isles in fall 2026. The restaurant is a sister concept to his Coral Gables spot Luca Osteria. Mixologist Eddie Fuentes will run the bar program, and the wine list will spotlight Italian, European and Argentine producers, according to Miami Culinary Tours.

Openings coincide with Lincoln Road upgrades

The openings arrive as Lincoln Road undergoes a $29.4 million city infrastructure project and the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District begins a new 10-year term through 2035. The eight-block pedestrian district draws more than 10.8 million visitors a year, according to the improvement district.

Specific opening dates have not been confirmed for most of the five restaurants.
