Families at Biscayne Beach Elementary can add free enrichment activities to their child's aftercare this school year, through the City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department.

The city-run program layers free enrichment on top of the school's paid aftercare for students in grades K–5 at the North Beach campus, located at 800 77th Street. Activities include games, homework club, arts and crafts, sports, reading time, tournaments, themed events, physical fitness, and specialized clubs.

The enrichment is free.

Students enrolled in aftercare get free bus transportation from Biscayne Beach Elementary to North Shore Park, where the program runs Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Transportation is not provided on Teacher Planning Days.

Registration for Miami Beach residents opened Monday, July 27. Non-resident registration opens Monday, August 3, at 10 a.m. The program launches Thursday, August 13, the same day Miami-Dade County Public Schools begins its 2026–2027 school year.

The enrichment component carries no cost, but the underlying after-school program at North Shore Park has an annual fee of $774 for residents and $1,758 for non-residents, according to the city's Parks and Recreation page.

Beyond the aftercare enrichment, the city provides free STEM programming across all Miami Beach public schools, including robotics, math and logic, and 3D printing, according to the city's schools page.

The program is actively recruiting enrichment teachers for the 2026–2027 school year, according to a flyer posted on Biscayne Beach Elementary's website. Families can contact the school at (305) 868-7727 for aftercare enrollment questions.
