Pop/rock singer-songwriter Jared Dylan will perform a free concert Sunday, Aug. 16, at Lummus Park on Ocean Drive between 14th Street and 14th Place as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series.
Admission is free.
The City of Miami Beach announced the show Thursday, Aug. 13, listing a 6 p.m. start time and encouraging attendees to bring a blanket or folding chair. The city's events calendar lists the performance from 5 to 6 p.m.
Dylan appeared on Season 3 of NBC's "The Voice" before earning four degrees at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. He signed with Hollywood Records and released his debut single, "Symphony," on Radio Disney. His catalog includes close to 300 original compositions, and he has collaborated with artists including Andy Grammer, We The Kings and Bob Geldof.
"What I love most is storytelling," Dylan told New Jersey Monthly in a February 2019 profile about his time touring Ireland and his musical approach.
The Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is a program of the Ocean Drive Association, based at 1401 Ocean Drive, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach. The series runs on Sunday afternoons through the summer, offering free concerts, visual art fairs and culinary activations in the beachfront park setting. The series featured jazz vocalist Amy Arlo with the band Almost Blue on Aug. 2 and Haitian American pianist Assel Jean-Pierre Jr. with his trio on Aug. 9.
The next concert is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23. No performer has been announced for that date.
