Miami Beach Senior High takes the field at Memorial Stadium on Friday, Aug. 28, riding a 41-0 Week 1 shutout into its home opener against St. Brendan at 7 p.m.
Coach Wilkie Perez's Hi-Tides dismantled Tavernier Coral Shores on Aug. 21, scoring on their opening possession and building a 21-0 halftime lead. Coral Shores punted on all seven of its possessions. Miami Beach punted just once, according to the Keys News.
St. Brendan enters Friday's game at 0-1 after a 49-7 loss to Westminster Christian on Thursday, Aug. 20. Coach Steve Smith's Sabres finished 5-6 in 2025 and return playmakers including senior DB-WR Zuberi Graham and sophomore RB-DB Kelby Jones, per the Miami Herald's preseason breakdown.
The Hi-Tides went 3-7 last season. Their 2026 roster features sophomore running back Markens Bienaime, junior defensive end Jaaden Turner, senior linebacker Julien Valle, sophomore LB-WR Edward Nelson and senior lineman Jacob Pierre, all named among the team's top players by the Herald.
Friday's game is part of a full Week 2 slate across South Florida. Thursday's results included No. 7 Northwestern rolling Jackson 42-0 and No. 15 Monarch edging Miramar 48-41, according to the Herald's scoreboard. Friday's marquee matchups feature No. 9 True North at No. 11 Coconut Creek and No. 10 McArthur at No. 12 Cardinal Gibbons, both at 7 p.m.
