Four restaurants in the Miami Beach area hold Michelin stars in the 2026 Florida Michelin Guide, announced in May, reinforcing the corridor's draw for food-focused visitors and residents alike.

Tambourine Room by chef Tristan Brandt, inside the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort at 6801 Collins Ave., retained its star for a French-inspired tasting menu with global influences. The Surf Club Restaurant by Thomas Keller, at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club at 9011 Collins Ave. in Surfside, also kept its star. And Stubborn Seed, chef Jeremy Ford's tasting-menu restaurant at 101 Washington Ave. in Miami Beach, held its recognition for a nine-course menu priced at $200 per person that features seasonal ingredients from South Florida farms, including Ford's own Homestead property.

The biggest headline belongs to Mutra, which became the first kosher restaurant in the world to earn a Michelin star. The restaurant, at 2188 NE 123rd St. in North Miami, is led by chef Raz Shabtai, 42, a Jerusalem native and Miami Beach resident who opened the spot in February 2025. Its name means "rain of blessings" in Hebrew, after Shabtai's grandmother.

"Food gives you life and it gives you comfort and it brings people together," Shabtai told the South Florida Sun Sentinel in a July 14 profile. "Screw all the bad things in the world. Just come to a restaurant to eat and enjoy and agree with the table next to you that it's all good."

The Michelin recognition has already translated into packed dining rooms. Mutra spokeswoman Lyssa Goldberg told the Sun Sentinel that reservations are booked through September, though the restaurant still accepts walk-ups for outdoor tables.

Across Greater Miami and Miami Beach, the 2026 guide awarded 15 stars to 13 restaurants, according to Miami Living Magazine. Mutra and Emelina in West Palm Beach were the only two restaurants to receive new stars this cycle; the rest, including the three Miami Beach-area spots, retained existing honors.

Brandt's rising profile is drawing attention beyond Collins Avenue. A press release for the inaugural Big Sky Food & Wine Festival in Montana lists him alongside Ford and other Florida Michelin-starred chefs for the Sept. 24–26 event.

At The Surf Club, Keller's Banyan Dining Room offers ocean views from a property that once counted Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill among its regulars, according to the Michelin Guide. The restaurant is Keller's only Florida location.

Shabtai said he had no idea Michelin inspectors had visited until he received an email in February 2026 seeking photos and details about the restaurant. Mutra's menu rotates every three to four months; current dishes include "It's Gonna Freekeh You Out," an $89 chateaubriand basted in sumac with freekeh risotto.

Residents looking to try Mutra can check for last-minute cancellations or walk up for outdoor seating. Stubborn Seed and Tambourine Room accept reservations through their websites.
