Miami Beach residents and visitors can spend Sunday evenings listening to free live music on Ocean Drive, with performances ranging from Latin jazz at The Betsy Hotel to chamber music in Lummus Park and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

The lineup includes pianist Edgar Pantoja and percussionist Gabriel Ramon Placido, whose duo Cuerda & Claveperforms every Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m. at The Betsy Piano Bar, 1440 Ocean Drive. There is no cover charge or minimum purchase.

Pantoja's original compositions blend Cuban musical traditions with global influences, while Placido, a Puerto Rican percussionist, brings experience in orchestral, jazz and world music performance. The Betsy's live jazz program features performances seven days a week, with nine shows each week, according to the hotel's events calendar.

Upcoming Cuerda & Clave performances are scheduled for Sunday, July 12, and Sunday, July 19, with weekly performances continuing throughout the summer.

Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series opens each Sunday with free outdoor concerts

Before the piano bar performances begin, the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series offers a free outdoor concert every Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. at Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place.

The series is presented by the Ocean Drive Association in partnership with the City of Miami Beach, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and community arts organizations. According to the city's events calendar, the family-friendly concerts showcase local Miami Beach musicians.

Upcoming performances are scheduled for July 12, July 19 and July 26.

Miami Symphony Orchestra musicians perform July 19 at botanical garden

Members of the Miami Symphony Orchestra will present MISO @ the Garden, a free outdoor concert at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 19.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or low lawn chair for lawn seating.

Five hours of free music every Sunday

Together, the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series and Cuerda & Clave create five consecutive hours of free live music on Ocean Drive each Sunday, from 5 to 11 p.m., with an additional concert at the botanical garden on July 19.
