Parking at any Miami Beach municipal lot, garage, or on-street meter drops to $1 per hour starting Saturday, August 1, and stays there through Saturday, October 31.

The catch: drivers must pay through the ParkMobile app. The discount does not apply at pay stations.

The City Commission voted July 22 to make the summer parking deal a recurring annual program, running every August through October until commissioners vote to end it. Last year's version covered only July and August, making the 2026 window a month longer.

The city said the promotion aims to pull visitors and residents toward local shops and restaurants during the slower summer months, according to Community Newspapers. It launches the same day as Miami Spice 2026, the countywide restaurant deal that also runs through late September, giving diners a double incentive to head to the Beach.

The parking discount arrives amid a broader tourism uptick. Mayor Steven Meiner posted on Facebook on July 27 that resort tax collections rose year-over-year for eight consecutive months through June 2026. June alone showed increases of 22%, 17%, and 16% across different resort tax categories compared to June 2025.

"That's eight consecutive months of year-over-year growth," Meiner wrote.

The Commission's July 22 agenda also extended Lincoln Road outdoor concession fee abatements for small restaurants during August, September, and October, stacking another layer of relief for businesses in the same off-season window.

To use the deal, download ParkMobile (free on iOS and Android), enter the zone number posted at any municipal space, and select the $1 rate. The city has not published a per-user cap on discounted hours for 2026.

The next Commission meeting after summer recess is scheduled for Thursday, September 10.
