Not a single school in Miami-Dade County Public Schools received a D or F grade for the 2025-26 school year, the Florida Department of Education announced June 30. The district earned its seventh consecutive A rating overall.

Families at Miami Beach Senior High School, Nautilus Middle School and the Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center are part of that A-rated district, though individual school grades were not included in the district's announcement. Those grades are available at arda.dadeschools.net.

Across M-DCPS, 63% of schools earned an A, 24% earned a B and 12% earned a C. That adds up to 99% of schools graded C or above.

Superintendent Jose Dotres held a news conference to mark the results, according to CBS News Miami. The grades are calculated using several metrics, including student performance on state assessments, graduation rates and success in accelerated coursework such as Advanced Placement and dual enrollment.

The 2025-26 scores are the second year calculated under a revised grading scale the State Board of Education adopted July 24, 2024. That update added a third-grade literacy component based on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking in English Language Arts, meaning direct comparisons to grades issued before the 2023-24 school year are imprecise.

The district said academic achievement has improved for four consecutive years but did not specify which metrics support that claim.

The first day of the 2026-27 school year is Aug. 13. Teacher planning days run Aug. 10-12.
